The Shed is a nonprofit cultural center that commissions original works of art. It opened on April 5, 2019 in Hudson Yards, where the High Line meets Hudson Yards in New York City. The Shed commissions, produces, and presents a wide range of activities in performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture. The Shed’s retractable roof is the key architectural feature.
