Franklin Bronze is pleased to announce the purchase of a new Doosan Puma Mill Turning Center. This high performance turning center gives our in-house machine shop greater capacity with live tooling plus the ability to mill, tap, & drill all on one machine.
This investment has upgraded our current machining capabilities and part production for various valve and metal processing parts, reinforcing our commitment of continuous improvement to our customers.
“With the machine’s live tooling, it will allow us to turn and mill castings in one setup. This will greatly improve productivity and throughput while adding capacity to better serve our customers,” states John Mangoyan, General Manager.
Designed for heavy and interrupted cutting, long-term accuracy, and superior surface finishes, the Doosan Puma enables Franklin Bronze machinists to complete jobs faster with less operations.
Franklin Bronze partnered with Allegheny Machine Tool Systems for the purchase and installation of the Doosan Puma GT 2600M Mill Drill Turning Center. Installation was completed during January 2022 and replaces an older CNC lathe.
